    Character
    Character Name: Willow Rosenberg
Fandom: (include link) Buffy the Vampire Slayer
    Timeline: Between seasons 7&8
Crimes: Murder, Attempted Murder, Accessory to Murder, Attempted Apocalypse, Theft, Receiving Stolen Property, Illegal Computer Access, Lying, Harboring of a Criminal, Corruption of Minors, Greed, Envy, Vanity

    Personality:
Willow has been quite a dynamic character over her seven years with the Scooby Gang. Upon joining the Scooby Gang, Willow was extremely shy nerd, with high marks in Science, Computers, and Mathematics. She still wore whatever clothes her mom bought for her and was frequently bullied at school by more popular girls. But she fought back in her own crafty ways when angered, such as tricking a bully into deleting her work on a computer. Having started out as a bit of a damsel in distress in her early days of being a Scooby, Willow has grown more and more confident and capable over time. This is fueled in a large part by her learning of witchcraft as well as fighting beside her friends to save the world and each other time and time again.

Willow is a very caring and helpful person, and often shows great concern about those around her. This is extend to the point of even trying to comfort (pre-chip, pre-soul) Spike when he kidnapped her and also later over his inability to bite her while chipped. She's been shown as responsible, willing to take over teaching a Computer Science class in high school after the former teacher was killed. She also helped act as something of a mother for Dawn alongside Tara after Buffy's death. Despite her ability to go to essentially any Ivy League school with her grades and excel at any field of study, she decided to go to school at University of California - Sunnydale in order to help her friends fight the evil surrounding the Sunnydale Hellmouth. With her college came continued studies of witchcraft and her own coming out as a lesbian with her relationship with Tara, two events that helped her to build more confidence.

Over time, Willow had begun to use magic more and more casually. She long viewed magic as the means to an end, without any recognition of the consequences of her actions, despite the concerns of her friends. This lead to a magic addiction that she's struggled with since. Her addiction lead her to fight with her friends and even use a memory wipe spell in order to brush her addiction under the carpet. She's also been shown to be willing to touch the darker side of things by using black magic when her girlfriend Tara was threatened by Glory. This eventually culminated with her grief-fueled vengeance later when Tara was murdered. Willow absorbed a great amount of black magic in order to kill Tara's murderer, even turning against her friends when they tried to stop her. This lead to her attempted destruction of the world until she was saved by her best friend Xander's love.

She's had some time since her darker moments to embrace a different philosophy, thanks to her time spent at the Westbury Coven in rehabilitation. However, her rehabilitation was never complete, due to the need for her to return to Sunnydale with the emergence of the First Evil in 2002. Still, she's quite regretful of her misuse of magic in the past and is no longer so reckless with its use. Between this and the First Evil's attempts to corrupt her with any major spell she casts, she was especially reluctant to cast anything powerful for fear of going out of control. However her confidence for magic has returned somewhat, following her success in unleashing the power of The Scythe and the passing of the Slayer line to all Potential Slayers across the globe.

    Abilities:
Having grown up living just above a Hellmouth, Willow has been bathed in its power for all her life, giving her a great magical potential. She is a well-practiced witch by this point, having once been described as the most powerful Wicca in the Western Hemisphere.

Her absorption of a lot of magic following Tara's death left her with a very strong power, including the ability to sense powerful magical events and emotions from across the world. Magic can accomplish many things, though consequences are always present. Some examples of magic use by Willow are
telekinesis, telepathy (both sending and receiving between multiple people at once), mind control, flight, teleportation, and energy blasts. Through the help of rituals using relics, she's been able to accomplish such feats as re-ensouling vampires, resurrection, and activating all Potential Slayers in the
world as Slayers. However, use of powerful magic leaves her drained for some time. Als, in reflection of the dark magic she absorbed, powerful magic tends to cause her hair roots and/or eyes sometimes go black, signs of how close she risks coming to lose herself to the magic once again.

Although not normally physically strong, she's also been shown to be able to physically enhance herself to Slayer levels using magic for periods of time. (Though it drains her fairly quickly.) She's also pretty well-trained with the tools of vampire slaying, and can hold her own in a fight against weaker vampires or other minor demons.

Although overshadowed by her magic, Willow remains quite capable with computers, and has been able to hack into a number of computer databases, reprogram robots, and other similar technological feats. Furthermore, her wit is something not to be underestimated.

    Multifandom Test:

Willow could find some identity with Nina Einstein. Both started out as rather shy nerds who were also closeted lesbians. Both have been thrown into darker areas of their personalities when faced with violent loss of the women they loved. Willow would understand Nina's snapping over the loss of Euphemia, as she too broke down when her girlfriend Tara was murdered. Whereas Nina turned to science and attempted to deploy a nuclear bomb in vengeance against her, Willow turned to magic. She first flayed the skin off her girlfriend Tara's murderer, then decided to take revenge against his former comrades. Nina later went on to develop the F.L.E.I.J.A., which ended up murdering several millions, and Willow attempted to destroy the world to end the suffering of people around the world, though was stopped. Both feel terrible for the deaths that were committed through their grief.

Willow would not approve of Nina's xenophobia, though she'd feel sympathetic over Nina's unrequited love, given she too had a long unrequited love.

    Third person sample:
    There was something wrong here.

Willow could feel it, immediately upon waking up on the park bench. It didn't feel like any place she'd been before. The magic she'd always felt before - it was different. Not just the fact that she was outside when she had been inside last she remembered. It was a completely different place. Wherever she was, it wasn't Kansas anymore.

Something was weakening her. No, not her. The power inside her. She felt fine anyway. Perhaps it was some sort of gift. There was no sense in wasting magic now, especially with how weakened she felt.

Willow stood up from the bench and looked around her, looking across grass, flowers, bushes, up to the trees, then up above her. It was definitely a dome, and it was bright as day, but she could see the ocean above her, illuminated in the artificial daylight.

“A witch, but no crashed houses, yellow brick roads, or monkeys with wings. Still not Kansas,” she said to herself, caught in awe of the dome.

    First person sample:
[It is different here. Willow doesn't need the Welcome message to tell her she isn't on Earth.

She can feel the earth beneath her, but it isn't what she was used to. And it only feels about the size of Sunnydale. Something is blocking her. And the power inside her? It's still there, but weaker. Though she is tempted to use it immediately to try and find her way out, she withstands against the temptation, in part due to the lingering doubt that she'd manage to get out.

Taking her time to investigate the communicator (and its message) thoroughly, Willow realizes it is well beyond the technology she was used to back on Earth. She eventually decides she might as well use it, since this Sentience probably was monitoring her either way.]

[She tries a few names, seeing if anyone else was brought here as well:] Kennedy?

    Buffy?

    Xander?

    Is anyone there?
